Atlanta Radio Theatre Company is seeking an actress to play the role of Agnes Drew in our upcoming daily fiction podcast “Mercury: A Broadcast of Hope,” which features a small group of people living in a college radio station broadcasting during the zombie apocalypse. Recording sessions are expected to take place weekly.
Character description: Agnes Drew is a college student in her early twenties and very optimistic. She can be a little naive and is in denial about her situation to a certain degree, but she also brings her joy to the other characters and helps them find the hope in their daily lives. She is an intern at the radio station.
The person who plays the role of Agnes will also be asked to write episodes for the series, approximately 5-7 minutes long, at a rate of about one episode per week.
Auditions will consist of readings from two scripts from the series.
Auditions to be held on
Monday, April 24 at 7:00pm. Auditions postponed. Stay tuned for a new date. For location information or with any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Participation in ARTC is open to all actors, writers, technicians/audio engineers, Foley artists, illustrators, graphic designers, marketers, and anyone else who is interested in learning any of the diverse array of disciplines involved in producing dramatic audio.
We meet weekly to rehearse primarily for our many live performances throughout the year.
Producers may choose to cast from a pool of actors who attend regularly or may hold “open” auditions to seek specialized voices, accents, or merely to augment the overall size of the cast. Watch this space, as well as various postings around the arts community in the Atlanta area for those open auditions or contact us for more information about becoming a regular participant.
