Thomas E. Fuller

Mr Fuller was ARTC's head writer: He was responsible for dozens of our most respected scripts, among them The Island of Doctor Moreau, The Brides of Dracula, and All Hallows' Moon. In addition, he was an advisor, script doctor, and uncredited consultant for most of what he didn't write, and gave freely of his time to teach and encourage our other writers. More than any other individual, it is his creative voice, his personality that you hear in an ARTC production.

Mr Fuller was active in Atlanta theatre for twenty years. His best known works were his stage musicals The Kiss of Dracula and Sherlock Holmes and the Crime of the Century, and the holiday special An Atlanta Christmas. He was also the author of several anthologized short stories, and the co-author of the popular Wishbone Mysteries books and the current Pirate Hunter series. He was a past president of ARTC and our head writer, having written and produced over fifty radio plays.

In recognition of his unique and invaluable contribution to the Company, Mr Fuller received the ARTC Lifetime Achievement Award at Dragon*Con 2002. In 2003, the award was renamed in his honor.

Thomas E. Fuller left us on November 21, 2002, following a heart attack on November 15 from which he never awakened. He was a big man with a big heart -- and he leaves a big hole in the lives of everyone who knew him.
