Solution Unsatisfactor-digital coverARTC returns to Anachrocon with history-altering audio drama! This year's theme: World War II. And what better way to match that theme than with Robert A. Heinlein's vision of how WWII might have turned out? Witness the precience of the Dean of American Science Fiction who foresaw a "cold war" and the dangers of radioactive weapons before they were even developed.

Also included, Rory Rammer, Space Marshal: The Angel of Destruction by Ron N. Butler and The Assassins by Gerald W. Page.

Can't make Anachrocon? See us at the Academy Theatre's Hapeville Performing Arts Center location the following weekend. Details in our performance calendar!

Before Pearl Harbor, before the war in Europe became a World War, Robert A Heinlein considered the consequences of an unrestricted arms race. He foresaw the possibility of a “cold war”, a time of tensions and uncertainty with both major powers possessing doomsday weapons – and increasingly itchy trigger fingers.

We approached the brink of nuclear war in 1962 – and stepped back. Witness now the prescience of the Dean of Science Fiction, who saw it coming in 1941. Follow a chain of events extraordinary, leading to a problem unprecedented – and a Solution Unsatisfactory.

    CONjuration

    Sunday 11/2

    ATLANTA MARRIOTT PERIMETER CENTER
    246 Perimeter Center Parkway NE
    Atlanta, GA 30341

The Magic of Radio comes to the Magic of CONjuration as ARTC brings you Candle Magic by Kelley S. Ceccato and Ghost Dance by Thomas E. Fuller!

    Candle Magic

Everybody loves airships. The crowds who gather to watch their launch view them as symbols of beauty, freedom, and power. But street musician Nelly Abbott sees in them the death of all her hopes for the future. Leading a barren life brightened only by the music she plays, Nelly lends a helping hand to Thanton, a seller of magic candles. In the flames of these candles, she sees the glimmerings of the happy life she once led. Might the candle magic give her the chance to regain what she has lost? Or will the cost prove too high?

    Ghost Dance

It's just a Western theme park, a slightly seedy collection of weathered buildings and aged teepees. Every day the buses come, every day the tourists take their pictures, every day the streets echo with staged gunfights and faked bank robberies. And every day a group of old men stage a dance out of history. And out of time.

More information about the convention is here. We'll see you there!
